Diesel Effluent Pump: Garth Chose The Alternative Pump…

Garth Pickford is quite familiar with Nevada. Looking around his dairy farm in Hunterville, one can spot his TurboStir 7000 PTO pond stirrer, and further out to pasture, the skid mount rain gun and Greenback Magnum irrigator. With both investments working out well, it was no surprise when he got in touch about a new pump…


Garth had previously been using a PTO pump, which along with the tractor, had simply worn out. For Garth this was a good opportunity to look at his options.

Talking with Lloyd, there were two options. Garth could go down the familiar path of another PTO pump, or there were some new Nevada diesel pumps on their way. Although both options are mobile, having just acquired a second farm, Garth saw opportunity in the more powerful diesel pump option that wouldn’t tie up his tractor.

  • ‘The diesel engine unit, coupled with the massive capacity Bauer pump would give me way more options, and I’d been absolutely wrapped with the Magnum irrigator and TurboStir.’

Garth’s had the new diesel pump for a few months now and is more than happy with his decision…

  • ‘It’s great being able to set the pump and irrigator going while I’m using the tractor for something else. I can monitor the pump from my phone, and with the second farm I’ll be able to use it with an umbilical system.’
