Flood Pump: Pedley Slurry Services Get ‘Flooded’ With Demand

Floods wreak havoc on farmer's livelihoods, but Pedley Slurry Services has been proactive in tackling the problem, making a real difference in the Manawatu.

Nigel Pedley owns and operates Pedley Slurry Services, an agricultural contracting company providing slurry services to farmers around the Manawatu. With increasing rainfall and flooding in the area, he’s also seen increased demand for high volume water pumping and decided to invest in two Nevada Flood Pumps.

Nigel has used other flood pumps in the past, but says he’s found Nevada Flood Pumps to be the best.

  • ‘They are robust, efficient and easy to deploy, which saves a lot of time and effort in an emergency situation. For our business, flood pumps have become an essential service because flooding affects farmer's livelihoods, and it can take a long time for them to recover if they don't act quickly to move the water off crops and paddocks.’
