Surrounded by sheep farms, John Oliver's pristine dairy farm in Central Taranaki stands out. That's because John likes to thoroughly investigate before investing in equipment and infrastructure that will do the farm justice.
Stepping onto John’s farm you must be impressed with the massive barn with composting floor he recently invested in. This is bound to keep the cows happy, and John’s proud of his investment.
What he was less pleased with was his effluent situation. His floating stirrer was no longer getting the job done, the pond was crusting over, the pump was blocking, and with inconsistent pumping, the irrigators couldn’t run consistently. Something had to be done.
John thoroughly investigated his options for a new pond stirrer. He liked the features of Nevada’s electric stirrers and spoke to a few farmers who had them before contacting Nevada.
John visited another local farmer who had a Nevada stirrer so he could see it in action. Along with an electric stirrer, Mike also recommended a PC pump. The old pump was at the end of its life, and the new PC pumps provide the consistent flow needed to keep the irrigators working consistently.
Mike’s advice aligned with John’s research, and he was happy to proceed.
