Slurry Tankers: Do I Need Auto-Fill?

Auto-filling arms are one of the main reasons slurry tankers are regaining in popularity. Dealing with messy hoses and slow filling is a thing of the past, with auto-filling arms making slurry tankers so much faster and more efficient.

Nevada’s ezi-load auto-filling arm has an 8 inch diameter rather than the standard 6 inch. This enables twice the volume of effluent to be sucked up. Nevada slurry tankers also come with a bigger, more efficient vacuum pump making filling faster again. And for really big slurry tankers we recommend a loading accelerator to make filling those large loads just as fast as the small ones.

While there may look like a lot of hoses and connections, the auto-filling arm is actually quite simple. All the hydraulic functions are synchronised, so there’s just one lever to make it all work.

There’s a rubber cone on the auto-filling easel, and a ball on the auto-fill arm making it easy to align and get a good seal, and the arm can be set to drop down on the left or right depending on your preference.

You’ll notice effluent from the auto-filling arm enters into the centre of the tank. This is important to get a good mix of effluent as it fills, and to ensure the effluent doesn’t wear the inside of the tank. Once the tank’s full, the arm raises back up and clamps into place for stability while in transit.
